Milica Tanasijevic

Balkan Programs

Milica Tanasijevic is our Balkan Projects Officer. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade and then worked as an interior designer for several years. Her interest in heritage took her to Bratislava where she completed a one-year course in Built Heritage Conservation & Development at the Academia Istropolitana Nova. The knowledge gained during this course improved her understanding in principles of conservation, which helped her reconstructions and adaptations of old buildings work. Following this, she decided to further her cultural policy work by completing a relevant MA in Cultural Policy and Management (Interculturalism and Mediation in the Balkans), at the University of Arts in Belgrade. In the past several years, beyond her teaching experience in secondary education, she has been working as a secretary general of the SEE Heritage network, connecting heritage experts in the NGO sector from the Balkans, promoting the region's cultural heritage.
