										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hafsat</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Abiola</strong>&nbsp;is President of Women in Africa (WIA) Initiative. WIA is an organization which provides a platform for leading and high potential African women to connect and raise their level of individual success and collective impact.</p>
<p>She graduated from Harvard University&nbsp;with a A.B. in Development Economics (Hons.) and received a Master’s in International Development from Tsinghua University&nbsp;</p>
<p>Her experience covers the local to global. She was a member of cabinet in Nigeria’s industrial state where she was responsible for expanding access to public services for the poor. She also worked as a councilor of the&nbsp;World Future Council, a global entity that identifies, analyses and spreads the world’s best policies. She is one of three leads of Connecting Women Leaders and the Special Envoy to Africa of the Women Political Leaders.</p>
<p>Through her non-profit, the Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND), which works in Nigeria; and WIA, which operates across Africa, she&nbsp;is working to build a critical mass of women with the capacity to take on these challenges and to bring about the breakthroughs Africans need.</p>
<p>Hafsat&nbsp;is the recipient of several awards including the recognition as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2006, the Goi Peace Foundation award in 2016, the Freedom Award from the U.S. National Civil Rights Museum in 2019, and the Excellence Award from the Forum de Bamako in Mali in 2021.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Abebaw Ayalew Gella</strong> holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Addis Ababa University, Department of History. Since 1998 he has been teaching history and art history at Addis Ababa University, Department of History and the Alle School of Fine Arts and Design. His research interest is the history of Ethiopian art and iconography of art of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. He has participated in many heritage conservation projects including the Menelik II Palace Restoration and Museum Development project in Addis Ababa;&nbsp; Conservation of megalithic steles of Tiya and the restoration and conservation of the mural paintings of St. Mark Church in Gojjam, Amhara region.&nbsp;</p>
<p>From 2019 to 2021 Abebaw was appointed as Deputy Director General of the Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritages (ARCCH), now the Ethiopian Heritage Authority (EHA). From 2021 to present he is Director General of the Ethiopian Heritage Authority (EHA).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Solange Laura Macamo</strong> is an Associate Professor in Archaeology and Built Heritage at the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of UEM- Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo- Mozambique.&nbsp; From 2018-2022, she was co-leader of the <em>Rising from the Depths </em>research network in Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, and Madagascar, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) UK.</p>
<p>She has coordinated numerous international and national research, teaching and heritage conservation projects. She also serves as the Director of the University Museum of Archaeology, under its Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.</p>
<p>Between 2010 and 2016 she was the National Director for Cultural Heritage in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, where she helped to develop heritage legislation, being, at the same time, the focal point at UNESCO Heritage Centre for matters related to the Island of Mozambique.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Baba Ceesay</strong> has more than three decades of experience in cultural resource management, starting as an Antiquities Officer in 1984 and eventually becoming the Director General of the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) from 2012 to 2019. In this role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the institution, implementing policy, managing relationships with partners, and providing advice to the Minister on arts and culture in The Gambia. Baba has also gained experience in human resource management, financial management, and project management.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>Baba has also undergone extensive specialized and practical training in various aspects of cultural resource management, including museum and monument management, research and documentation of oral traditions, and copyright administration. Baba&#8217;s specialty is in the conservation and development of material cultural heritage in sub-Saharan Africa. Throughout Baba&#8217;s career, he has led numerous successful projects, including gaining international recognition for Gambia&#8217;s cultural heritage through UNESCO World Heritage Listings, and expanding the number of national and private museums in the country. Baba has also served as a consultant for UNESCO and other institutions on cultural heritage in various African countries, and has published articles and a book on the subject.</p>
