Short Description
Main Objective
The Fulani Heritage Haven project by My Gambia (MG Marketing) aims to preserve and promote Fulani cultural heritage through the construction of two traditional mud-house museums in Sinchu Wellingara and Kerewan Samba Sira. These houses will be developed into exhibition spaces showcasing Fulani daily life, tools, and traditions. The project also includes training local guides in responsible tourism through a partnership with ITTOG, and developing cultural experience programmes to attract visitors. Income generated will be reinvested into maintaining the museums, supporting local artisans, and sustaining community involvement.
This project was supported through HerMaP Gambia, implemented by HERITΛGE and co-funded by the European Union and the Mellon Foundation, as part of the Africa Grants Program.
