Marija Kamber

Marija Kamber is a final year PhD candidate at the University of Kent with her thesis focusing on the cultural heritage discourse in Europe through the activities of the Council of Europe. She holds a Master of Economics (University of Rijeka, Croatia) and an MA in Heritage Management (University of Kent/AUEB). Besides her PhD interest in the Council of Europe, she is also interested in the issues of heritage protection in times of crisis, a topic she was working on within the FIRST AID TO CULTURAL HERITAGE IN TIMES OF CRISIS course organised by ICCROM, as well as the joint ICCROM and World Heritage Fund project developing the Rapid Impact Assessment Tool for Cultural Heritage (AMAL). Other heritage-related subjects she is passionate about are dark/dissonant heritage on which she has published and the role of heritage in peacebuilding, the subject she collaborates on closely with ICCROM. She is currently working as a co-ordinator for Council of EuropePrograms for HERITΛGE.
