Short Description
Main Objective
The Yimtubezina Museum and Cultural Centre aims to address challenges related to fragmented and outdated records of its over 4500 artefacts by implementing a comprehensive documentation and inventory project. In collaboration with the Ethiopian Heritage Authority and other partners, the project will design a standardised documentation system, build local capacity through training, and conduct detailed written and digital documentation of museum objects. The project will also focus on sharing the outcomes with the wider community and institutions through publications and social media engagement. By aligning with national standards, the initiative will enhance the preservation, accessibility, and educational value of the museum’s collections.
Outcomes

A complete and standardised documentation of 3500 to 4500 artefacts will be developed.
