Main Objective
zalyMerveille will map and document the natural and cultural heritage of forest Guinea and showcase it through the creation of a digital platform. To do so it has been awarded a small grant through HERITΛGE’s Small Grants for Africa project, generously funded by the Mellon Foundation’s Humanities in Place program.
Outcomes
The project will map and document the cultural heritage of forest Guinea, a region of great ethnic diversity, rich in natural heritage and resources. Forest Guinea is home to cultural and natural treasures, including the famous Mount Nimba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The project has created an accessible digital platform that allows the public to discover these cultural and natural sites as well as cultural activities taking place in the region.
