Çağla Parlak holds a BA degree from Istanbul University, Political Science and International Relations Department, later she continued her MA studies at METU Gender and Woman Studies and Istanbul University Museum Management. She worked as a guide at Dolmabahçe Palace Museum where she also undertook the volunteer program and various researches as a member of the museum education commission. Between 2015-2020, she worked at the Association for the Protection of Cultural Heritage as the Projects Manager and involved in heritage documentation, conservation and capacity building projects. In 2017, she participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program in the field of cultural heritage preservation, executed by the US Department of State. She worked as a country expert for the British Council Cultural Protection Fund's country-level impact evaluation in 2020-21. Her specific areas of interest are capacity enhancement, heritage interpretation and strategic management.
