David Nkusi

RWANDAN PROGRAMS

David Nkusi is a highly qualified and accomplished heritage management professional, with extensive experience in the field of heritage site protection, as well as a background in philosophy and history. He earned a BA degree from Makerere University in Uganda, with a major in Philosophy and a minor in History, and our MA in Heritage Management from the University of Kent and the Athens University of Economics and Business. David's professional training and certifications include an Introduction to Tourism Industry Management from UNWTO, as well as certificates in a range of heritage management and cultural conservation topics from the Heritage Management Organization and other organizations. He has worked as a lecturer of History and Heritage Studies at the University of Rwanda since 2023 and has held previous positions as a Heritage Sites Protection Specialist and Officer at the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy and the Institute of National Museums of Rwanda, respectively. Additionally, David has published articles on cultural heritage and tourism in various academic journals and online publications.
