Hedaya Gharaibeh is an accomplished architect and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a Master’s degree in Emergency and Resilience from Università IUAV di Venezia. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in integrating disaster risk reduction approaches into the built environment, with a focus on cultural heritage preservation and humanitarian architecture.
Hedaya has worked on diverse international projects, including post-war recovery initiatives in Libya, disaster response programs in Türkiye, the Philippines, and Nepal, and resilience strategies for urban environments in Jordan. Her expertise extends to project management, site engineering, training, and mapping. Passionate about employing nature-based solutions for disaster and climate resilience, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to heritage management, combining architectural expertise with a deep understanding of human rights and migration studies.
Notable achievements include coordinating cultural heritage disaster management programs, mentoring in ICCROM’s First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage initiative, and contributing to the establishment of an employment accelerator hub for rebuilding war-affected areas. Her work is guided by a commitment to sustainable, community-driven solutions that prioritize cultural preservation and resilience.
